"To add to people being on their phones at the park, not only are people glued to their phones, a lot of people are more worried about getting that Instagram clip rather than actually progressing"

"wow chad, TPM. Great way to put it. I've always felt that way; and I was thinking the same thing myself years ago. I've always looked at others (younger) at skate parks and wondered why I was grinding and they were laying back. I then realized that skate sessions with younger skaters are different than those of the older generation. All they want to do is just hang out with their friends and B.S. on those damn cell phones during their skate session. Totally agree! They are distracted. They get much less done than older people who come (or came in the past) to grind a trick. I'm a 43 year old active skater and can speak this way for myself and all the other skaters of my peers. When we got together back then in the 90's, it was war! it was a do or die attitude. Put all efforts out on the line. Blood sweat and tears (and film it) lol.. That's what is special about skating and that's what the sport teaches. To forges the inner will to live, to drive, and succeed. I think all the real OG's learn that lesson from skating. Now, I'm not saying this applies to everyone in the younger generation, But generally, I think this is the problem and I think the attitude I've described among other skaters is fading these days."

"It's kinda funny how the social aspect can help progression or hinder it depending on the situation. Went the the park yesterday, park was empty but I wasn't feeling it after the first hour. I wasn't making much progress with the things I wanted to work on and was considering leaving. Some people showed up around my same skill level, started hyping each other up, skating obstacles I wasn't planning on skating, and stayed for another 3 hours."

"Chad I thank you so much. I’ve learned so many transition tricks in the last couple weeks from watching your videos. Almost 30 and still skating. Thanks for the videos man."
