"I’m 41, still skate, but it’s a battle. I found because you use different muscle groups, you lose muscle in your arms, so you have to work out. More importantly, you have to rest. I’m going on 6 years of no sugar, and think that’s the biggest reason I can still skate. You have to eat well, sleep well, basically do everything as perfectly as you can to keep skating. At this age, if you drink or have a bad diet, skating is out of the question. It’s a good way to keep everything balanced and on track. I don’t do everything perfectly, but skating every day and eating cheeseburgers is out of the question when you’re an old prick"
