In 1991, Skateboarding Legend Lance Mountain, decided to leave his current sponsor: Powell Peralta Skateboards, and co-founded The Firm. Alongside him was his former Powell Peralta teammate, Ray Barbee. Together, they became The Firm, along with some heavy hitting team members.

The Firm consisted of a tight-knit team: Ray Barbee, Keith and Joe Gruber, and Weston Correa. Despite the company’s growth over the years, the staff remained small, emphasizing quality over quantity.

Notable Team Riders for The Firm:
Bob Burnquist: A Brazilian prodigy who turned pro at the age of 14. His jaw-dropping skills and innovative tricks made him a standout in The Firm’s lineup.
Rodrigo “Tx” Teixeira: Another Brazilian talent, Tx brought his unique style and creativity to The Firm.
Matt Beach: Known for his technical skills and smooth lines, Matt was an integral part of the team.

The Firm carved its niche by blending creativity, authenticity, and a sense of community. Their skateboards weren’t just tools; they were extensions of individual expression. The brand emphasized artistry, pushing boundaries, and fostering a tight-knit skateboarding family.
