PJ Ladd (Patrick John Ladd) was born on January 11, 1983, in Rockland, Massachusetts. Growing up in Boston, skateboarding became a central part of his childhood. He’d skate around the warehouse next to his father’s auto parts store, ride the train downtown to skate, and even shred in front of his house.

PJ Ladd gained local recognition in the Boston skateboarding scene, and his breakout moment came with his mind-blowing skating in Coliseum Skateshop’s “PJ Ladd’s Wonderful Horrible Life” in 2002. This legendary skate video catapulted him into the spotlight, catching the attention of skateboarders across the globe.

Ladd is known for his technical prowess and smooth style, and he has also been associated with various skate brands including:
Plan B Skateboards: Ladd joined the reformed Plan B team, appearing in their promotional video “Superfuture.”
New Balance Numeric (NB#): As a native of Massachusetts, Ladd became part of the NB# skate team, representing the iconic shoe brand.

Ladd showcased his skills in various competitions, including the 2013 X Games “Real Street" event in Munich, Germany, where skaters’ video parts were voted on by the public. His smooth tricks on benches, ledges, and picnic tables left a big impression.
