Venture Trucks began in the early 1980s, thanks to the vision of the Vitello Family. Fausto Vitello, the man behind Independent Trucks, teamed up with Eric Swenson to create something special. Their goal? To craft an affordable truck that combined simplicity with high-quality design. No flashy anodized colours - just pure functionality.

As skating evolved at warp speed, street skating burst onto the scene. Skaters hungered for boards and trucks that met their needs in this new urban landscape. And that’s when Venture stepped in. They released their first truck right when street skating was taking off, earning them the title of producing the first “street” truck.

Venture Trucks specialized in lightweight construction. Unlike the established brands, they focused on simplicity and functionality. No frills, just performance. Skaters loved their straightforward design, making Venture a favorite choice for those who wanted a reliable setup for street tricks.

Venture Trucks sponsors a talented roster of skateboarders! Some of the riders they support include Morgan Smith, Felipe Gustavo, Keelan Dadd, Kevin Romar, Sewa Kroetkov, Michael Bowen, and Paul Rodriguez. Additionally, you’ll find Jack Curtin, Stefan Janoski, Gino Iannucci, Torey Pudwill, Stevie Williams, Terry Kennedy, and Rodrigo Teixeira (“TX”) among their sponsored team members. Let's also not forget Mark Gonzales. His endorsement catapulted Venture into the spotlight. Gonzales, with his innovative style and creativity, showcased what these trucks could do. Other skaters followed suit, and Venture Trucks became intensely popular among street skaters, in particular.
