Guy Mariano was born on March 31, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, USA. His skateboarding journey began at a young age, but he truly gained recognition when he appeared in the iconic Blind Skateboards video “Video Days.”

Mariano was known for his innovative and stylish approach to skating. Some of his signature tricks included technical flip tricks, smooth lines, and creative use of obstacles. His ability to blend avant-garde moves with rawness and poise set him apart from the crowd.

Mariano’s first sponsor was Val Surf, a Californian retail outlet. He then went on to skate for Powell Peralta, appearing in their "Ban This" skate video, before moving on to Blind Skateboards and featuring in the classic Blind skate video: "Video Days" alongside skateboarding legends: Mark Gonzales, Jason Lee, and Rudy Johnson.

After joining Girl Skateboards, he became a staple in their video productions, including “Mouse” (1996) and subsequent releases.
Mariano also rode for Lakai Limited Footwear and made a triumphant comeback in 2005, contributing to Lakai’s video “Fully Flared.”

Mariano also appeared in the Pretty Sweet Video, where in 2012, he featured in the collaborative video between Girl and Chocolate brands, earning the coveted closing video part.

Off his board, Mariano co-founded the Fourstar clothing brand with fellow skateboarder Eric Koston, and while Guy has had personal problems over the years, the skateboarding community regards him as one of the greatest skateboarders of all time.
