Ishod Wair was born on November 1, 1991, in Bordentown, New Jersey, USA. It was here that he discovered skateboarding at the age of nine. Over the years, he gradually shifted his focus away from other activities (like basketball) to fully embrace his passion for skating. In 2009, at 18 years old, he participated in the Tampa Am, an amateur skateboarding contest in Florida. Although he didn’t make it to the finals, he caught the attention of potential sponsors by distributing promotional DVDs. Real Skateboards took notice and began providing him with free boards, officially adding him to their amateur team.

In 2011, Real Skateboards turned Ishod Pro, and his career skyrocketed from there. A few of Ishod's highlights:

Skater of the Year: In 2013, Thrasher magazine crowned Ishod Wair as their Skater of the Year after he released four impressive video parts.
Super Crown Event: In 2015, he made his debut at a Super Crown event, finishing second. This achievement was no small feat, considering the tough competition from seasoned professionals.
Signature Shoes: Ishod collaborated with Nike to release his own signature shoe, the SB Dunk Low Pro “Ishod Wair.” He later followed it up with more signature SB Dunks, including the unique Nike SB Ishod Wair in 2022.

Wair entered Street League Skateboarding in 2012, representing Real Skateboards. He made seven 9 Club appearances and reached four Finals. His standout year was 2014, where he secured second place at the inaugural Pro Open and third place at the Super Crown World Championship.
