About Torey Pudwill - Pro Skateboarder Profile, Biography and History

Torey Pudwill was born on May 2, 1990, in Simi Valley, California, United States. As a teenager, he spent countless hours honing his skills at the Skatelab Skatepark in Simi Valley, skating alongside his friend Arturo. Interestingly, Pudwill holds the record for the most accidents at the Skatelab - 117 in total! It was during these formative years that he also founded the Grizzly Griptape brand.

Pudwill’s skateboarding journey gained momentum when his part appeared in the 2005 Shorty’s skate video “How To Go Pro.” Shorty’s was his first board sponsor, and after the brand’s demise, he became a flow rider for Alien Workshop. Later, he received an invitation to join the Almost team from Daewon Song, co-owner of the company. Pudwill accepted and achieved professional skateboarder status in August 2008 while riding for Almost Skateboards.

Throughout his career, Pudwill has been associated with several skateboard brands, including:
Almost Skateboards: He rode for Almost before joining Plan B Skateboards.
Plan B Skateboards: In 2010, Pudwill officially joined the Plan B team, skating alongside legends like Danny Way, Colin McKay, and Paul Rodriguez.
Thank You Skateboards: Pudwill co-founded Thank You Skateboards with Daewon Song, a brand known for its unique graphics and commitment to giving back to the skateboarding community.

As for competitions, Pudwill has competed in various events, including the Summer X Games and World Championships.
