Emerica Footwear was launched in 1996 as part of Sole Technology, Inc., an American footwear and apparel company. The brand was founded by Pierre-André Senizergues, a former professional freestyle skateboarder. Emerica quickly gained recognition for its commitment to skateboarding culture and innovation.

Emerica specializes in designing and producing high-quality skate shoes and their focus is on creating durable, functional footwear that meets the demands of skateboarders. Beyond shoes, Emerica also sells apparel and has produced a number of skateboarding-themed videos.

In 2013, Emerica released the skate video “MADE: Chapter One.” What made this release unique was that it was offered to consumers at a price of their choosing, with a minimum price of just US$1.00. This groundbreaking approach allowed fans to support the brand directly while enjoying top-notch skateboarding content.

Emerica has sponsored a talented roster of skateboarders over the years including:
Collin Provost, Ed Templeton, Jamie Thomas, Chris Senn, Justin “Figgy” Figueroa, Kevin “Spanky” Long, Leo Romero, Jeremy Leabres, Jon Dickson, Eric Winkowski, Rob Maatman, Dakota Servold, Kevin Baekkel, Victor Aceves, Chris Wimer.

Emerica’s commitment to skateboarding culture, innovative videos, and quality footwear has left a lasting impact and skaters appreciate their authentic approach and dedication to the sport.

While the Sole Technology name has gradually been phased out due to being acquired by the Nidecker Group, Emerica’s legacy continues to inspire skateboarders worldwide.
