From Humble Beginnings to Skateboarding Stardom

McKay’s journey in professional skateboarding began in 1992, when he joined the groundbreaking Plan B Skateboards "superteam", a group that forever changed the landscape of skateboarding. Alongside icons like Danny Way, McKay demonstrated exceptional skill and creativity, which made him a standout figure on and off the ramps.

After Plan B's original team disbanded, McKay transitioned to Girl Skateboards in 1998, where he solidified his reputation as one of the most influential skaters of his era. But his skateboarding story didn’t stop there. In 2005, McKay and Way revived Plan B Skateboards, this time as co-owners. Backed by Syndrome Distribution, this relaunch turned the brand into a powerhouse once again.
